Lumber / Cabinet making

With its unique and decorative character, a piece of furniture designed and produced by the hands of a cabinetmaker is a masterpiece in itself. Cabinet making and quality go hand in hand, and Maron lumber strives to offer craftspeople a varied selection of indigenous and exotic species that are worthy of both their talents and the expectations of their clients.

Canadian hardwood is a favourite among cabinetmakers. For example, a piece of Cherry, with its light reddish brown colour can be transformed into a beautiful bedside table, while Black Walnut, with its shades of chocolate brown, can create a contrast as a decorative element on a central kitchen island made in a light Yellow Birch.

Exotic woods are also popular among cabinetmakers. A luxurious table topped with a checkerboard of African Sapele (dark brown) and Maple (light brown, nearly off-white) creates a luxurious effect in a living room. For the ultimate in elegance, consider an Ipe sink (brown-green) for the bathroom.

Maron lumber offers quality wood for cabinet making to suit all tastes and to meet all of the latest trends in cabinet making:

Canadian and American woods

Cherry (brown to light red), Maple (brown to white), Red Maple (brown to white), Red Oak (rosy to brown), White Oak (light brown), White Ash (light brown to white), Black Walnut (chocolate brown), Yellow Birch (brown to white). Among the softer woods are White Pine (cream to yellow) and Butternut (ash grey).

Exotic woods

From Africa: Mahogany (brown to red), Sipo (reddish brown), and Sapele (brown). From Brazil: Mahogany (brown to red), Lyptus (red), Ipe (brown-green), and Jatoba (red to brown).

The production of exceptional furniture requires two things: the talents of a cabinetmaker, and the use of high quality wood. At Maron lumber, we strive to provide materials that inspire unparalleled quality.
